Over the past decades, Arab Health has grown into one of the most influential global gatherings in healthcare. Now evolving under the identity of World Health Expo (WHX), the event brings together the global healthcare community at the Dubai Exhibition Centre. Building on the legacy of Arab Health, WHX connects healthcare professionals, innovators, and decision-makers shaping global health. The event attracts a diverse audience, including medical manufacturers, clinicians, hospital leaders, nurses, laboratory specialists, physiotherapists, investors, startups, dealers, and distributors.

WHX has always been great to showcase not just MedTech but HealthTech, regulatory and government organisations, hospital groups (this time the first time seeing some of the reputable public hospitals from China). It also gathered people of all races and showed that if some product is good, it will be good anywhere in the world.

Organising in 4 big halls certainly helped in organising in the mind how to manage visiting them all. Far more food options, and less of a queue to order them

My personal take of WHX: it is helpful firstly to split into WHX and WHX Labs[EL1] , just that they are too far apart! (though fully appreciate the free shuttle bus, the traffic’s terrible). Within WHX, it can still get a bit disorganised, because of last-minute/second insertion of booths. All of us clock the same number of footsteps as previously (23-29k steps per day). Though fewer business cardswere gathered this time, partly because we have more and more friends that we met in the past and gradually formed a network on our own, irrespective of actual business dealings.

Overall, WHX continues to be one of the rare platforms where global healthcare truly converges at scale. It reflects not only technological advancement but also geopolitical shifts, supply chain realignments, and the increasing importance of regulatory harmonization.
A big thanks to our Access-2-Healthcare Team who worked in the background for the route planning, screening and meeting organisations – they may not show up but this event will be an impossible task without them.
I will visit again next year, hopefully with better accommodation prices!
